| Is it possible to learn how to count cards on your own or do you need to practice with at least one other person. I have a friend who may be interested in learning how to count cards as well but I just want to make sure that I can learn this on my own before I get the home training course. |

It's very possible to learn to count on your own. It will make a few aspects a little more difficult, but certainly not unacheivable.
Good luck.

Of course it's possible to learn to count on your own. The challenge lies in much more than counting, however. You need to keep track of the running count, estimate decks remaining, play perfect basic strategy, calculate true counts, apply the offset, apply the proper betting unit, use index plays, take insurance, and act naturally while doing all of that.
Practicing that with another person who can hold you accountable for your play is extremely helpful in developing your abilities.
Good luck!

Probally like a lot of people, I too am interested in playing solo, for various reasons. Do Bandit, RJT, or anyone, have any suggested, good books to help develop good solo play (as opposed to team play, or playing in general)?
Is being able to play a good strategy, and money managment still enough these days?
Thanks,
Flash. |
